Youth4Jesus is a Church-funded project which aims to reach out to the youth in the community, teaching them about the love of God and their importance in the kingdom of God. We must emphasize the fact that the life of Jesus has a huge influence in what is taught at Y4J – but children, teenagers and parents of all faiths are most welcome to join the group.

Sessions are run every Friday from 5:30pm-7:30pm (we take a break, however, during the Summer Holidays). The session starts with a half an hour break time where everyone socializes, plays pool, table tennis, badminton and fooseball and has light refreshments. Registration then takes place at 6pm and then after updating everyone on important notifications and upcoming events, the children and teenagers are split up into two groups (under 14s and 14+), where two lessons take place simultaneously. The teenagers go upstairs and are taught by the Pastor’s wife, Elinere Lopes, and the youngsters are taught by the leaders of Y4J (who are also members of Harlington Baptist Church):  Daniella Silva and Jennifer Silva. Lessons finish at 7pm, and then from 7-7:30pm, both children and teenagers play activities together. Refreshments like fruit, drinks, crisps and biscuits are also provided at the end of the lesson.

Occasionally, special events or parties are held at Y4J, for example during Easter, Christmas and the last day of Y4J before Summer Holidays. Here is a collection of photos from past events that you are welcome to look through.
