Get Involved

Here at Harlington Baptist Church, anyone is welcome to join us as we seek to learn more about who God is and how we can live for Him; as we live as Christians following Jesus Christ; as we try and care for each other and share what we believe with other people.

If this is your first visit here, if you have been coming along for a few weeks or even for some years, we are pleased that you are here and trust that you feel welcomed into our community, into our family of God’s people.

Many people come along, share in our services and other activities for a time and then feel that they want to become more fully involved in the life of the church here.  If this is what you are feeling, there are a number of different ways to do this and we would be very happy to discuss them with you.

The first, and most important, thing is to consider your relationship with Jesus Christ. Have you recognised that we are all sinners; that we have all done things wrong and that Jesus Christ died on the cross so that our sins could be forgiven and we could become members of God’s family? Have you taken that step of faith in asking for His forgiveness and committing your life to Him? This is what is often referred to as “being born again”, “being saved” or “being converted” and is the time when you become a Christian and enter into the wonderful things that God has planned for His people. If you haven’t made this step yet and would like to find out more, please speak to one of the pastors or leaders of the church. We would be delighted to share with you what we know about Jesus Christ and to introduce you to our Saviour and Lord.

If you are a Christian and want to get further involved in the life of the church here, there are four things we would ask you to consider:

These are some of the ways in which you can get more fully involved in the life of the church here. No-one is going to force you to do any of these, but they are ways which we believe will bless and help you and we would encourage you to think and pray about them and see where God leads you.
